Celebrating Women’s Day with Boundless Palette: A Journey Through Female Creativity

As an artist, Women's Day has always had a special place in my heart and this year the celebration took on a completely new dimension for me. I had the privilege of being part of Boundless Palette, an extraordinary art exhibition at Collect Art World Gallery, which brought together the works of three charismatic women from different continents. The event celebrated not only our art, uniqueness and the thousand shades of colors, it celebrated above all femininity, strength as women and the friendship that binds us.

From Cuba, Doris Puente exhibited her work with an electric energy. Her paintings spoke of Cuban and non-Cuban women, of beauty and nature through the bold colors of her origins. The liveliness of her pieces danced with life, each brushstroke told the story of women as different as they were unique.

Ambika Chadha from India has transported us to a realm of intricate patterns, cultural symbolism, village life and femininity. His modern, dreamy and naïve interpretation was charming and funny. Her works served as a bridge between past and present, evoking a connection with her ancestral roots and celebrating the contemporary woman.

Then there was me, Alessia Donà, representing my beloved Italy. For me this exhibition was deeply personal. My art is an ongoing conversation between my emotions and the canvas, and for this exhibition, I sought to encapsulate positive messages and energy through feminine colors and collage. I explored the themes of identity, life, physical and internal journey and observing my works alongside those of Doris and Ambika, I felt a deep sense of sisterhood.

The evening was not just about art; it was about unity, diversity, and the boundless capacity of women to create, inspire, and elevate. The atmosphere was alive with an energy that words could scarcely capture—every smile, every nod of appreciation felt like a collective recognition of the journeys we, as women, have taken, both in life and in our art.

The love and support we received was overwhelming. It was heartwarming to see so many people come together to celebrate women’s contributions to the art world. Art has no borders, and this exhibition was a beautiful reminder that creativity truly knows no bounds.

As I walked through the gallery that night, I couldn’t help but feel that this event was more than just an exhibition. It was a celebration of the strength, beauty, and endless creativity that women bring to the world. To be a part of that felt like a privilege and a profound honor.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported us. Your presence made the night magical, and I am endlessly grateful for the opportunity to share my work with you. Here’s to many more celebrations of women in art, where every brushstroke tells a story of resilience, beauty, and boundless potential.

With love,

Alessia
