I created this video trying to convey my emotions, collecting the best moments of this first month in Kuala Lumpur, to share with you the beginning of our new life in Southeast Asia, I hope you like it!
The start was not easy, I will not hide it from you!
Once "free" post quarantine of 7 days in the hotel, we found ourselves catapulted into a new and completely different reality, in an apartment that was not as we expected, without even the possibility of cooking a meal or washing clothes.
It was weeks of discomfort and stress. While Michele was at work, I worked from morning to night searching for the new apartment, making appointments with the agents.
After a couple of weeks we found a unit good for us.
If you want to see the video tour of the house where we live, you can find the IGTV on my Instagram profile @openeyesdreamer.
In the meantime we visited the city. My husband had already been there several times for work but had never been able to visit it because he was busy between meetings and customers. I, on the other hand, had never been there! Very first time I saw Kuala Lumpur, so for me it was truly a leap into the void.
I moved beyond the world based only on Michele's stories and the photos found online.
Luckly he knows me very well and we are on the same wavelength so he knows what I like, and how I am. He would never have proposed it to me if it had not been a city that was for me and actually he guessed. For me it was love at first sight and consider that I still have not seen anything practically! I can't wait to get around Kuala Lumpur and the whole of Malaysia for good!
In addition to visiting the city we immersed ourselves in the Malaysian culture and above all in their varied cuisine. I am of the opinion that to fully live the experience in a country other than your own you can not pull back on this front, otherwise you live the journey or the country only half.
Here by the way you can really find everything, for every taste!
In addition to Malaysian cuisine you can choose between Thai, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Mexican, Italian, and so on and so forth, nothing is missing. The dishes are always quite spicy and I love them. So far I still haven't found something I didn't like!
I hope to have transmitted to you a little of our Malaysia, for how we lived it in this very first month.
I send you a super hug,
Alessia
